These terms are the agreement between you and Next Gen Payment Wallet India Private Limited for the use of the Sahi Setu app. By signing in you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.
Sahi Setu is a brand of Next Gen Payment Wallet India Private Limited, a company incorporated in India (CIN U74999UP2021PTC152770, GSTIN 09AAHCN8252F1Z8), with its registered office at 4th Floor, 402, Alpha-1, I.A. Surajpur, Greater Noida Alpha Road, Alpha 1, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201310. "We" and "us" in this document mean that company.
Sahi Setu is a software product. It keeps your documents, helps you understand a legal situation in plain language, prepares letters and applications from what you tell it, records evidence, and puts you in touch with an advocate when you want one.
It is not a law firm and it does not practise law. Nothing in the app is advice about your particular facts, however specific it looks. Treat it as a well-informed starting point, not as an answer you can rely on without checking.
When you consult an advocate through the app, your professional relationship is with that advocate and not with us. They decide what to advise you and they are responsible for it. We introduce you, carry the messages and take the payment.
We do not read the substance of a consultation to check it, and we do not stand behind the advice given in one. If you are unhappy with an advocate, tell us and we will stop referring work to them, but a complaint about professional conduct belongs with the relevant Bar Council.
If you are in danger, contact the police straight away. If money has just left your account, call your bank’s fraud line first — the first hours are what decide whether it can be stopped. The app helps you afterwards; it is not an emergency service and it cannot reach the police on your behalf.
Your account is your mobile number, and a one-time code sent to it is how you prove it is yours. Anyone holding that number and that code can reach everything in your account, so tell us at once if you lose the number or the phone.
You must be 18 or over to hold an account. The app is built for use in India and we do not offer it anywhere else.
What you upload remains yours. We store it so that you can use the product, and nobody on our staff can open a document unless you have created a grant that lets them — a request you made or a share you sent — and every such access is recorded where you can see it.
Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. We take the care described in the privacy notice, but no storage is perfect and this is not a substitute for the original.
The free plan costs nothing. A paid plan is bought for a fixed period and gives you the allowances listed on the pricing page at the time you buy. Prices include the taxes shown at checkout.
Nothing renews by itself. There is no standing instruction on your card or your bank, and a plan simply ends when its period is over unless you buy another. What happens to money already paid is in the refund and cancellation policy.
Use the app for your own legal matters and those of the people in your household whom you have added. Do not use it to break the law, to harass anybody, to upload something you have no right to hold, or to pass off what it produces as the work of an advocate.
We may suspend an account that is being used that way, or that is costing other users the service — for example by automating requests. Where it is safe and lawful to tell you why, we will.
We improve the app continually, and features change. We try to keep it available at all times and we do not promise that it always will be. If we change these terms in a way that affects you, the app asks you to accept the new version, and the old one stops applying only once you have.
You can close your account at any time from Your data, inside the app. We may end an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and we will give you a way to get your data out first unless the law stops us.
We are responsible for running the product with reasonable care and for the duties the law places on us that cannot be signed away. We are not responsible for a decision you take, for what an advocate advises, or for a loss that was not a foreseeable result of something we did wrong.
Where the law allows a limit, ours is what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited under Indian law.
Indian law governs this agreement. Tell us about a problem first: most are settled that way and it costs you nothing. If one cannot be, the courts at our registered office have jurisdiction, and nothing here takes away a right you have as a consumer to complain where you live.
